Edgar Cayce Medicine

For 43 years The Sleeping Prophet, Edgar Cayce, helped many people find health, hope, and harmony of the body and mind.

Edgar Cayce was born in 1877 in Kentucky. At the age of 21 he developed paralysis of the throat and doctors were unable to find a physical cause for the condition. Through self-hypnosis he was able to diagnose himself.

While in a hypnotic state, he went on to recommend treatments for himself and others.

Although Edgar Cayce’s methods were unusual, his remedies, including osteopathy, exercise, hydrotherapy and massage, were not. 15,000 medical suggestions by Cayce have been catalogued. The center for his research is located in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Examples of suggested treatments are peanut oil rubs for arthritis and cleanses such as the Apple Diet:

Using organic red or yellow varieties
and a colonic on the first day are recommended.

  • day 1:  Eat as many apples as you like including the pea (6-8 are customary). You can blend them and make apple sauce.
  • day 2:  Same as above including a colonic or enema
  • day 3:  Same apple program, also 2 Tblsp of olive oil or, if you have a history of Gallbladder trouble, 1 Tblsp in hot water at the end of the day each night of the diet.
